Repeatedly battling on the same stages can become a bit stale, but the developers have assured the player base that more free All-Star Brawl DLC is on the way. While these particular stages currently offer the best multiplayer experience, it would be nice to have a few more options when considering which stage to select when playing with the maximum amount of players. The heavy focus on combat skills and lack of gimmicks, like items and final smashes, places even more emphasis on the skill of the player. So far, All-Star Brawl has been overall well received by the fighting game community. Unless the player is fortunate enough to be scooped up by an oncoming car, they will quickly find themselves down a stock. Being knocked off the backside of the bus is almost a guaranteed death sentence as the bus travels much faster than any character can run.
This is where speedy All-Star Brawl fighters like Invader Zim tend to excel. If players are knocked to the street surface below, they are given a brief opportunity to attempt a recovery by reaching the closest available vehicle. Cars don't hang around long, giving this stage a unique feel as it's constantly widening and retracting.

Traffic Jam, from the hit cartoon series Hey Arnold!, is yet another stage that appears to have been designed with multiplayer combat in mind, more specifically for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's free-for-all mode. Combat on this stage primarily takes place on top of a moving bus, with cars and taxi cabs periodically entering and exiting the frame. Chaos is the name of the game for Powered Toast Trouble, and this stage can provide some seriously memorable multiplayer battle moments in All-Star Brawl. On the far right section of the stage sits a sizzling hot bacon pan, with the hot bacon grease acting similarly to the lava of the Metroid-inspired stages of Smash Bros., another connection to All-Star Brawl.

Players will occasionally phase through the side of the cereal bowl, but that's a separate issue that will likely be addressed in a future patch.
To the right of that sits a cereal bowl filled with milk that acts like quicksand, slowly dragging players to their death. On the far left of the stage sits a sink filled with water which allows players to briefly tread in place and attempt a recovery, should they be knocked off the edge. All-Star Brawl also benefits from a wide cast of characters from iconic Nickelodeon properties, with the main attraction arguably being getting to see ridiculous match-ups between characters like SpongeBob and Garfield. franchise in terms of stage design, and with good reason. Providing a variety of unique stages, each with its own feel and required playstyle, is key when it comes to keeping players engaged match after match especially in a repetitive fighting game like All-Star Brawl. Both games also allow players to battle at instantly recognizable locations from various franchises, something that fans of Smash have always greatly appreciated. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl borrows heavily from the Super Smash Bros. Fortunately, the developers at Ludosity and Fair Play Labs recognized the need to include some stages that offer a bit more space for players to brawl with iconic Nickelodeon characters like Reptar and Oblina. Smaller stages, like Sewers Slam and The Dump, can often feel cramped and oppressive, even with just two combatants participating in the brawl. The majority of the stages in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl tend to favor solo combat, but there are some that are best suited for multiplayer battles.
